You make alot of good points towards buying a RSX... if you want a lightweight "tossable" car, then the RSX is probably the better way to go...

I bought my CLS 'cause I wanted a Contemporary Luxury grand touring car, not a FnF type car...

The CL makes for a great daily driver and isn't a buzzy tinbox like the RSX...

BTW, there were 3511 6spds made, but getting a certifed one is probably going to cost you more then buying one from a private party...

I laugh when people mention that they can't find a 6spd... You CAN find one easily, UNLESS you are looking for a particular color combo (and it's more difficult if you limit the search to 6spds with navi).

I found 16 6spds within 100 miles of Hartford:

Autotrader link

Code:
$22,995 Highest price
$15,800 Lowest price
$19,830 Average price
5 were certified:

Certifed 6spds on Autotrader

Code:
$22,995 Highest price
$19,985 Lowest price
$21,593 Average price

BTW, I'll sell you mine for $19K (w/ 49K miles on it)...

I haven't driven a RSX typeS since 2002, but I did drive a RSX base auto a few weeks ago as a loaner

If you want rice, then RSX...

If you want nice, then CLS 6spd...

I couldn't agree more.

Ok let me start by saying I searched everywhere and the only place I found 2 CL-S6's was on ebay. Secondly, if your car was a bit cheaper, and closer, I would consider it . Also I was told there were only 2700 ever built, and one of the threads that calls off all CL-S6 owners says who are the 2700 owners or whatnot, but thats not important. And yes if I get a CL-S6 I want it loaded with Navi and the goodies, why buy it without it? lol. Personally I would kill for an Anthracite/Ebony CL-S6 with navi. Favorite color, and actually what I might be painting my Talon. Back on topic, I am at an age where I don't necesarily need Luxury, I am just a luxury whore thanks to my parents. I could live with either car but like I have said and some of you have as well 1 is a pocket rocket with the basic luxuries, the other isn't quite as fast or agile, but has all the goodies that would make daily driving a bit nicer. All in all I think the final word will come down to the test drive, and just for the record I am leaning towards the CL-S6 at the current moment.

It seems everyone is bashing the car because the CL-S is just that much better. The only similarities the cars have is the "A" and "Type S" badge, imo and has certain abilities the CL does not.

Edit: Put it this way, if they made a 2nd gen 6spd TL-S, it would of been in my driveway already.

Yeah, the "got 6spd" thread was started in early 2003 and Hohlake didn't come out with his numbers till late 2003...

Read the thread here for the discussion on the 2003 6spd production numbers...

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125628

Acura had "estimated" the 2700 number before production even started... they were wrong, and the demand for 6spd was more then they thought...

See my link to 16 6spds within 100 miles of hartford CT... (there's 17 now).

Within 50 miles of hartford, there are none... if you aren't willing to travel 1 1/2 hours for a car, then we might as well end the conversation now...

Drive the cars you are interested in, and pick the one you like the best...

For starters, I've seen people Autocross Scion xB's. Whatever I buy will be autocrossed, and just driving it and looking nice isn't enough to tickle my fancy.

See thats the thing, a 6spd CL will be much more $$ to mod and hopefully encourage less modding. I love the high revving K20 but the J32 definately has much more torque in the low end so idk, all I know is that I did the numbers and I need another $10k to finish the Talon so I don't think I can afford to mod another one lol. And by "dont go down that road" I was trying to nicely say, Dont start shit.
