S/c Ic

Is there just one IC made for the CT S/C? I know if you run an HBP, an IC should be used in conjunction. The only one I know of is the Hope IC system.

Yes HOPE is the only one, and most people who run the HBP don't have an IC

So it's a front mount that feeds to the intake manifold directly?

^ for that to work, you would need an intercooler first. that item you are referring to sprays nitrous into the intercooler.

I see in your sig 13.2 , that's an awesome time. Was that with the IC installed?

^ yes, but the water in the tank was hot and the car pulled alot of timing. i think it would have been possible to get into the 12's with good traction and ice in tank.

I have the ic kit too. I removed everything awhile ago, but will be reinstalling it soon. Didn't want a denied warranty on my bad tranny. Anyway, this time around I will be running lower boost, I'm tired of all that arise from 9psi, burnt plugs ect. The Ic should still net me some good power with moderate boost . Just got the Ic pump and resevoir in along with my high volume fuel pump, tranny cooler, new wilwood ceramic brake pads, brake fluid flush and some wiring is done. Next week I'll install the s/c'er & Ic manifold.

I'd wondered what happened to you, but glad your still in the saddle. That is one of the smart things to do in the event of a failure like that. Take the time to remove everything and put back to stock for the warranty.

I got ea few snickers from the parts guy, I guess the tranny was totally toasted. The techs knew something was up, you can remove the mods, but you can still see that it just didn't look right. The parts guy even asked me if I was gonna put the super charger back on .

I've been pretty luck so far with my mods. Built a pretty good relationship with the Service Manager. He hadn't driven a SC'ed 6 speed so I threw him the keys and told him to have fun.

Woo Hoo!!! Damn brakes are working good ! No more screeching. The Tranny is runnin alot smoother with the cooler. My horsepower is definately Up too. I found 2 rags stuffed up in the bottom side of my intake, not sure if it was me or the Dealership . I thought my car was over the hill or something for a long time.

It's been a good day .

Excellent

The tranny cooler makes a world of difference on the Auto. I've been running Amsoil Synthetic Tranny fluid which is Z-1 rated and I've been pretty happy with it in the TL-P.

What type of boost levels are you going to be running this time around? HBP?

I'm gonna try to run around maybe 6 psi. With the 9 psi setup, my fuel mileage was about 7 mpg. Anyway, I've been thinking about something though. The pcv valve, does it act as a check valve when the manifold is under boost??? Might be able to reroute some hoses to make more boost, if the pcv isn't a check valve under boost.
