S/C High Boost Pully
Due to some miscommunication over at Payn Tech, they have IN STOCK an ultra-lightweight boost pulley the same size as the Comptech High Boost Pulley. The grooves are specialy designed to reduce slipping of the belt, and it's weight is a fraction of the Comptech counterpart. I told them I would post this here to try to help them sell it. The price is $150 and you can contact them directly at 248-649-3966.
The pulley on the right is the Comptech stock boost pulley.

The blower will go back on next week, and the tranny is working great.

The High Boost pulley is on and running 6-7 psi, with stock timing and injectors.

With 100 octane, that is when you add back in the timing which was removed with the e-Manage. Have a program for street and one for the track.

Just wondering if anyone else thinks there is a decent demand for these. We've been getting quite a few calls about the pulleys since this post started.

I'll post on V6performance.net and link it here. My friend should've called you from Chicago to get 'Max Pulley'.With that said he should push ~ 10psi after his custom internals are done + upgraded tranny.

The Comptech high boost pulley is 3/8" larger than the CT stock boost pulley, and the Max was made another 3/8" larger than the CT HBP. Are the CLS/TLS crankshaft and alternator pullies the same diameter as the AV6?

Devin,
If the product/service is up to par then maybe???? This is questionable at best-at least with my experience with you folk. It has been very expensive for me to do Payntech's RD. The first pulley I ordered was so poorly made that it self destructed at idle damaging my alternator. The new pulley was sent out which I have to have re-installed at another 3-4 hrs worth of labor. So Totals are:
195 for pulley
260 for install/uninstall/reinstall stock Comptech pulley
300 for alternator
200+ for more labor to reinstall the correct pulley again
955+-----total (not to mention the hassles and headaches of down time, phone calls, etc...)
So Devin, I hope that you can understand my frustration as this simple upgrade has turned out to be quite costly for me. I have put in a lot of money into modifying my car($15,000+or -) and this has been the most unpleasant experience that I've encountered with a performance / aftermarket parts company. I know that there is sometimes a level of risk as a new part is being developed but that burden should be placed on the provider and not the consumer.
having said, I will also say that if the pulley produces gains and is of good quality I'm sure the guys on this site would be willing to try it. I just hope that future products will go through more quality control standards and customer service be improved as well.
