I can partially see what they did with the VSA throttle. That would have been a fun project with Comptech.

But what about the review....

I can see the now the VSA throtle is BEFORE the throtle body. Does it matter? I believe that on stock form it is the other way around. And, where does the PVC vacum hose go on the Intake side?

Sorry, for not posting a review with the pics, but I did post earlier about driving from a half hour south of Tucson up to phx to pick up the car and then turned around to drive back to Tucson. Anyways after getting off work and then driving, I needed to get out, and after all it is friday right!
So I posted pics and had to leave after reading a few other posts. But it gave me actual time to try the car out in a city enviroment versus the highway that I drove all the way back to Tucson.
As for the S/C I think the sound is my favorite part. The car at first seemed slower?? But I realized that the sound is much different thanit was before. w/o the CAI the engine didn't "scream" like it used to, so I think that's what was so deceiving. It has really good pull from 80+ which I noticed coming back to Tucson today. But it wasn't till I took it out tonight that I noticed the power through out all the gears. However, whether its my tires or not, it doesn't seem to jump from a standing start any faster than before. I think this is what comptech said that they are trying to fix (the richness and leaness of the fuel during the rpm band. I am thinking that a well trainer tuner and a VFC might be able to get this up to 50+ ponies. But I wasn't expecting the world. Even when you say 35+, I am assuming that's a peak HP added value versus an average. But from the drive for over 200 miles total today I would say that runs smooth and the delivery wasn't harsh ever. Diffently performs better though when you hold your gears versus trying to get on it in 5D, but this was true before. I was told be the Acura dealership that installed it that comptach IS working on a ECU addition to overcome the letback that the fuel mapping is causing the auto S/C. Who wants to bet that they will offer it free to those already with the auto kit?? I believe that without going down the custom turbo route (which is probaly the best bang for the buck), this is the next best thing. Plus the acura dealership that ordered it, installed it, also warrentied it as well. Hence the 2 hour drive each way. Yes the also installed a tranny cooler with redline fluid. Once again sorry for just posting teaser pics with no commentary, but it was still a good night!

Nope, even in stock form the VSA throttle is first and then on to the TB.

I disagree. If you look at my pictures in the sig you'll see that I strive to keep the look of my CL as clean and classy as I can including the interior. There are no strickers or shit on the car. I view it like a mullet, all business on the outside and party under the hood. Just close the hood and I think you'll like the "rest" of the aesthetics of the car. But you'll hurt the supercharger's feelings

Driving today was a wonderfully fun time. I truly enjoy it, but find it works best in SS with VSA off. Scalbert: yeah I let the pulley, I was thinking of trying to use a modified AEM cai instead of the icebox, because I originaly felt that those rubber elbow connectors looked inefficent verses a direct tube, let alone lower to the ground and farther away from the engine. But now the elbow is pretty much smooshed almost together in the config and doesn't look too bad. Is this different than the manual version?

Addict, It is the horn for the Autopage alarm. It had to be relocated during the install and now is visable. It didn't used to be. By the way. I really like the Autopage alarm system for a reccomendation.

AK_Mobber: Thanks for keeping it real in the desert You should look into scottsdale acura up there, they will warrenty anything they install and order for you, including AEM and all comptech parts, I.E. you order your yellows and springs through them. The only piece I have gotten from them was the S/C, but it was worth the piece of mind that I only have to buy it once. I will try to come back soon. I believe I will be in Phx. Next Friday night for a birthday party. Let's see if we can't meet up that night or sat. morning before I come home!
