Rust like spots on car surface

Has anyone had this before? They look like rust spots, tried to scratch them off... don't seem to come off. Car wash don't work either. At first I thought they maybe some sort of stuff that's produced by the trees/plants.

But now I am not sure.

Try waxing?

Thanks for the help, guys!

Use a clay bar. Clay Magic is a good one. Available at most autopart stores.

It's probably pollution, chemical fallout, air particle contaminents, industrial debris. It's probably mostly on the hood, top and trunk.
Even brand new cars can have this from sitting in industrial yards, shipping lots, train engine/wheel brake pollution.
It can rust the car and damage the paint.
Clay bar asap.

ITs the brake dustparticles from the train that has oxidated on thepaint. U need to use clay bar that you can find in AutoZone or Walmart. Make sure that use lots of water/lubricant solution so that the clay does not stick to the paint, but it will take anything of the paint. It like an eraser. Wax after the claying.

actually, we get that here too, but there are no trains here so its not certain that it came from a train. just impurities in the air and tiny metal particles. could also be from your own brakes.
