Can't find my post from a couple of months ago lamenting the loss of my transmission, but now have a new 6MT (well, not NOS from the dealer @ $7K!!!), but on the road again and loving it. Thought about a replacement car and almost wet my pants testing a WRX (Subaru), but by the time I got the CL back I hadn't found a replacement. Didn't realize how rough the old tranny was over the 150K I put on it. It was a mess! Now, after salt-season, it's off to the body shop for some touch-ups. (Is there really a 2012 Black DVD Map Update V2.AO out there for $50? I could do that.)

 

Where did you get the replacement. Did you rebuild it? How much was it if you don't mind me asking?

 

I got the used transmission from Bessler Auto Parts, w/90 day warranty for $1700. Did not rebuild it. Seems fine, but so did my old transmission the day before....
