Yup yup..

So I'm thinking, pssshhaaa... just another A6 2.7T or something on my tail (after we get outta the bottleneck for the construction) .. I don't know any different.

So, once we're all outta the bottleneck (it's a cooool 55 degrees out tonight, low humidity .. TL-S is running strong) .. I jump on it, and rip out from the pack of cars, and the only thing I notice at this point is that this "A6" is hanging w/ me no problem, but in a couple lanes over.

So I'm in front for a mile or so, then I see what I've just been messing with -- brand new ruby red S6 w/ the yellow new car plates... beeeeautiful.

he's side by side me, and he jumps on it and I do the same, slightly delayed .. trust me when I say I was thoroughly embarrassed -- he pulled away from me like I was standing still. It was pretty damn impressive. He gained speed so quickly that he kept having to slam on the brakes to keep it under at least 110 or whatever...

He kept doing this for about three or four times while I kept jumping on the gas trying to keep up .. then i got off on my exit and that was that.

over the weekend, i had a fun time with an S6 Avant who ripped me a new one pretty good in the twisties, but we managed to stay together on the straightaways like an Ossie & Harriot...it was a friendly thing

 

I know this was an RS6 but doesn't the S6 only come in wagon format?

 

yeah the S6 in north america is only in wagon form...still a pretty car. I wish the RS6 came in wagon too. The magazine times are never that exciting for the Audi V-8's, but I would imagine they scream up high, especially the S versions that are 360 hp.

 

Ray told me about a local stock RS6 running a 12.4 so don't feel bad!

Between the CarMax in Hillside and .. well.. probably Kostner avenue... he destroyed me several times in this stretch of highway.

 

I've been there and it is a fast stretch, don't feel too bad about losing to a car with twin turbos.
