because of your title, i thought you meant the RSX wheels. those star-shaped rims look pretty sweet and would look nice on a CL. anyone know what specs they may be or has someone done this?

They're only 16"s, I don't think you'd want them.

I wouldn't say they're easy to come by. I've looked all over eBay, and only came across 3, and none of them had air bags. I had an S2000 wheel in my Accord, and loved it. So I thought I'd do the same in this junker I have now. lol

its not plug and play, you have to have some kind of harness or adapter between the new srs connectors. waiting on my friend to help me with it =)

How about RL side mirrors? Has anyone thought about that?

When I had the TXS loaner, I thought it was a pretty sweet sterring wheel. Way better than my CL-S. I thought about it but haven't done it. If this RSX switch is possible, I'm all about it too. Who ever does it better take pics of the whole process for the rest of us!

isn't it also a matter of whether or not he likes your steering wheel too?

Unless you have access to a wheel and airbag cheap, I don't see it being worth it. Looks like a bag is $200 on ebay and then roughly $50 for the wheel.

If I can get my hands on one of those steering wheels (pun intended), I'll get my friend who's a Honda technician to do it. He did the S2000 wheel in my Accord. Shouldn't be too hard. Took him like 20 minutes.

There's a Honda/Acura junk yard down the road. I'll cruise over there tomorrow and see how much they'd charge.

$250 for the wheel and airbag isn't that bad for somthing as custom as an RXS steering wheel, you think??

Not to me, but thats my opinion. Plus you would have to splice all the connectors from the old one onto the new one including the airbag connector.

Actually, just looked it up and its only possible on a 2003 CL. The 01-02 CLs only have a single stage air bag(2 wires) while the 2003 CL has a dual stage airbag(4 wires). The RSX is also a dual stage airbag.

So the only way it would work on a 2001-2002 is if you changed the cable reel and the srs unit as well. Even then I'm not certain thats the only differences.

Just realized this also means 2003 bags (with the nice emblem ) will not work in 01-02s either

I wish I had a wrecked car (like the red SMR in that other thread) that I could fool around with some of these ideas. What you're talking about sounds like a lot of work but it would be interesting to experiment with.

Wasn't the first year of the RSX an '02? Wouldn't that theoretically mean you could swap an '02 RSX bag to an '02 CL-S? Or were the '02 RSX's a dual stage to start with?
