RPM stays high 1-2 sec
Hi,
Just bought my first Acura... only 600Kilos on it (Canadian). Engine rpm tends to stay high when the clutch is disengaged to shift gears. Sometimes it will even jump up a couple hundreds rpm.
Not a real problem in higher vtech band but somewhat annoying in the low 2500-3500 range where I need to either take a pause between gears or let the clutch slip to avoid jerking the car. Specially between first-second-third gear.
Dealer can't say if this is normal or not (not many manual CLSs sold out here). Sure doesn't help mileage though. Anyone with a stick CLS experienced this behavior? If not, please post ammunitions against dealer.
Thanx!

This is normal for the six speed. I believe that it has something to do with the dual mass fly wheel, and it is supposed to help the shifting to be smoother. Welcome to the board and enjoy the car!
