it wasnt that slow...ive run an 8.969 1/8th...im a track head...right now i beat LT1 Z28's and can hang with the LS1 in the 1/8th, in the 1/4 there top end shows me my weakness ...whereas the LT1 continues to loose ground all the way...BTW that picture is an ambomination...a roush v6 ...
A GT not sure exactly how it compares to an LT1 Z28 say a 96 but i would think it were slower...

 

the gt's have 260 H.P.

 

From what I've read, the Stage 1 is a tad slower than a GT, must be the heavy body kit.
