Rough 5-4 downshift with light throttle
Is my tranny performing normally? This doesn't always happen, but it did last night. I was on the freeway and traffic was such that I coasted down to about 50mph in 5th gear. I downshifted from 5-4 (sportshift) while giving it either no gas or very little since I didn't need to accelerate at that point. When it downshifted, it felt "loose". I don't know how else to decribe it, but it was rough and just didn't feel right. Am I paranoid from reading all of these transmission stories? Does anyone else get this? I have 27000 miles and had the fluid drained and refilled (but not flushed( at 15k.

Can't say as I've experienced that, but unless it occurs frequently, I wouldn't really worry about it. At 26,000 miles my tranny has only had one oddity: After several hours of high speed driving in the mountains at 105+ degrees it shifted funny once. I guess I can allow that!
