Amazing sound in Reverse!!!

If you ever went down a block in Reverse and listened to your car you know what i'm talking about. If not try it out. I hit 40 MPH in reverse oh man the car sounds like a porsche carrera. Is there anyway we can make the car sound like this when we are driving forward. I like to do that more,

HAHAH, no food in my car. Never will any open food enter my car especially In-N-Out. I also always wipe my hands good before eating and getting in the car. I'm a nut. But I didn't know that reverse thing was bad, Guess I will add that to the things of what not to do anymore.

Now you know how people in old 911's (pre '88)
feel! Can you say massive oversteer? yeah, I know the "rear" steering when in reverse has something to do with it......but the physics are the same.

I did just what you did in my old Civic 3 door. Let's just say I had to get a new car when it was over.

Of course while in reverse the sounds from the exhaust tips travel forward to your ears. This is the opposite of driving in forward since the sound is going rearward, from the exhaust away from you. You should try going about 40 -50 mph in reverse and then go to D4. Then you'll really hear loud engine sounds.

ok, if u're gonna go that fast in reverse, check out your passenger side mirror...u'll find that it goes back up when u go a certain speed...i accidentally discovered this bout 3 weeks ago...it was freaky...i was looking at the mirror, then all of a sudden, it went back up to original position...i did my normal freak out maneuver (slammed on the brake) only to see the mirror go back down again i was like cool, let's do it again and nearly ran over the neighbor's cat doing it 3 or 4 more times...try it when u got the space to do it

Interesting to know that Acura actually thought of all you nuts that go 35+ MPH in reverse often, since the tilting down of the mirror is only for having a better view of the curb when parallel parking.

The whining sound occurs because reverse features a straight-cut gear while the rest are helically cut.
