rotors/pads help

Hello all. What are some brands I can look for when it comes to buying new rotors and pads. I've found some cheap ones(at least I think) on eBay, but I fear they are generic crap. Any help, links, and guidance would be great! Thanks!

heres an example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIRST-LINE-C...ht_4715wt_1060

You get what you pay for. I'd recommend getting a product that has some quality control procedures in place. For instance we offer a brake package for your vehicle:

^ I agree. However I got some rotors and pads off of the black market from brakemotive and they have been great for me and a number of other members

I bought the Rear disk/pad kit from these guys, the link above is the full F+R kit w brake pads.

I paid ~ 70 for mine shipped to Canada via UPS.

After ~ 10,000 KM they are still going strong and work very well. Just took the car down to Cali and back with 0 problems on the stopping (with a 110% fully loaded CL )

powerslot rotors and stoptech pads..

i've used hawk pads, ebc pads, and one other brand and i prefer stoptech by far

ive used dba, and 2 other brands of rotors that just warp on me... but the powerslots have stayed silky smooth with zero vibrations.

How long have you had those slotted rotors? Do you go through pads more frequently?.... As in, your menstrual flow is heavier....I wrote "pads" and couldn't help myself!

But really, I know my rear brakes are getting low so I'm curious 'cause I've always wanted slotted/drilled rotors. I think they're cool looking! And, perhaps something I could install myself!!

I'm not sure if this is a massive issue but I hear that drilled rotors tend to do this:

I have Cryo-Stop rotors from tirerack.com. Supposedly they are cryo frozen and slowly returned to normal temp to make it a stronger metal to prevent warping(gimmick I'm sure). They seem to work fine, 3 years and they still ok, need to be turned though. I use duralast gold brake pads, since I'm cheap and they have lifetime replacement at no additional charge. I've changed them 3 times so far. I'm an occasional aggressive driver so the combo works well for me.

Perhaps I'll look into some slotted rotors for the back then... The front rotors are still semi-new, but it'd look so cool if all four were slotted!
