Rotors being replaced for THIRD TIME...

UNDER WARRANTY!!!

Last week I took her in to get the rotors checked, I knew they were warped. I got some other small warranty work done, like the creaking noise in the steering wheel fixed and whatnot.

Anyways, I stayed persistent. When the dealership replaces rotors, they have a 1 year warranty on all the work they do. Wear and tear or not. You guys need to use that to your advantage.

I didn't, until the dealership themselves mentioned it. I had mine replaced in November.

It took 2 trips to get this done, and about 5-6 phone calls. I showed them a little anger at first to get their attention. Then after being cordial with the service manager, he wanted to make things right.

They are putting brand new rotors, front and rear, and even replacing the pads again too!!!

Unreal.

Stay persistent guys. A $30K car shouldn't have rotors that warp anytime soon after purchase. BOTTOM line.

Mine is a 2001 with 48K miles on it.

BTW, they also wanted to charge me $190 to change the cabin filters!!!

I told him that i could get them for $14 online, and that I can do it myself, and he immediately shut up. LOL!

Those sorry bastards told me the first time I brought it there last week that the rotors weren't warped!

When I pick it up today, I'm going to ask them how in a 5 day time span my rotors can go from being fine, to all of a sudden needing to be replaced!

Check the lemon laws in your state...usally same warranty repair 3 - 4 times and your car may qualify as lemon.

when i first bought my car (brand new) the rotors were warped when i test drove the car.....the dealer said they would fix that, they did and like 3 months later they were warped again. 1 1/2 years later they are still warped, and seem to be getting worse, do you guys think they will cover this?

If they say no, ill just bitch and show them my repair when i bought the car and tell them that i plan on buying the new TL next year, and i know where i will NOT be buying it from.

My front rotors are DEAD after only 10,000 miles.
I haven’t made an appointment with Acura yet to get them checked out.

They are “pulsing” badly when hot.
It’s not that noticeable when the car is driven slowly in the city and the brakes are lightly used.
But when I’m out by my house with lots of hills & curves by the time I get home I know something is wrong because I can feel it in the pedal.

Lemon Law wont work. Because these are parts that are expected to wear out they can always blame on the driving. Sucks because mine is going back in today for 30k service and rotor fix (second time). If they don't fix it under warranty no 30k service for that dealer.

I have the same situation as you Shaun. And I don't even drive but on weekends at that. This will be my THIRD time complaining to my dealership about my brakes. My Accord parked next to my CLS has 105,000 miles and the original rotors ! Fucken terrible how they cut corners on the brakes on this car ! This is the ONLY thing I shout to my Advisior when they try to pull shit over me ! Why is it that my Accord which is driven DAILY, 7 days a week and the brakes are as good as day one when I bought in 1998 ?????
