well sometimes when u get new rotors they will have them coated with a type of grease so while they are in shipment they are protected. You are suppose to wipe that grease off before u install them, if not u prolly will get smoke. Its a possiblity but im not 100%

I am sure you touched them to install them.... it is normal.

JUST DO NOT WASH BRAKE ROTORS after braking hard, you will warp them instantly.. you need to let them cool..... if it rains and you are driving the car it will not hurt them since the rotor is turning and the brakes are constantly touching the rotor.

the problem is the caliper. the caliper slides need to be thouroughly cleaned and re lubed with silicone grease. repack the slides and reattach the rubber boots. if this isnt done properly, the outer shoe with hang up on the new rotor and over heat and eventually cause rotor warpage.
after this process test. and listen for slight noise while modulating the brakes , driving slowly. if you still hear slight hissing/grinding noise, replace defective caliper
