rotor advice?

The front rotors on my wife's 01 Cl needs resurfacing but the dealer (Sussman Acura, Philly) does not want to cover this under warranty....he claims that this is normal wear and tear. The car has only 20K and was never abused. How can I get Acura to pay for this?
Thanks
Joe

our rotors r aweful...i've had mine cut twice and replaced once, and i got 24K on my clock...cutting was nothing and replacing was covered under warranty since it was under the 15K mile window...i'd suggest u go to another dealer and see what they can do for u

What 15K window. I thought that there was a TSB out there stating that it should be considered up to 50K.

Or am I wrong and it is 30K?

No wonder these is a love hate relationship with the dealers There is a TSB quite some time back indicating that Acura recognized there was a problem with the brake pads. The TSB speficified the updated pads. They are covered under warranty. No question about it!!! I had mine done twice already(see my sig)under warranty. But again, my dealer is Park Ave

I've had mine cut once and the second time I brought them in (8000 miles later) they were replaced under "good-will" from the dealer. Does that mean I don't get another rotor even if they start warping again? It's been about 2000 miles and I can feel my steering wheel shake again from braking. I have 19000 miles on my car.

on acura brakes

There's a TBS on the brake pads that cause the rotors to warp...do a search for it and you should be able to find it, then print it out and give it to your dealer. I think I had my rotors resurfaced and new brake pads at around 30000 miles. The TBS doesn't mention mileage. Your dealer is just pulling your chain.

Rotors are wear and tear....they should be good for 30K...and you can cut rotors 2x tops...and thats if you notice wear right away and get it cut before it really starts getting eaten up.
