RonJon 2nd Cl ground effects

What's going on everyone, has anyone pre-ordered the kit. I talked with RonJon and theres not that many people signed up. Is there not much interest in the kit or what. Everyone keeps talking about wanting a good looking kit for our car and then we finally get one, but hardly anyone orders one. We need more people to sign up for this to get it rolling.

I opened the thread to see why hardly anyone has ordered the kit. Because as of right now theres only a few people who have ordered the kit and that is not enough to build the kit.

I would probably buy it this summer. I hope it comes out.
Its a toss up between body kit, stereo, or headers, but I dont want to void my warranty.

It's a great price for a quality kit.

I've just spent A LOT of money on this car and I need to prioritize.

The problem is that I think if we don't get enough people than RonJon will not be able to do the full kit.

THIS IS NOT A FUCKING CIVIC!!!

You have to pay to play when your talking about luxury cars. Hell most used CLs are still more than a civic brand new. This kit is very reasonably priced and will be quality. I mean, the versus kit is the same price and its the only kit that fits without modification.

Oh, and I've pre-ordered

Thanks mclarenf3387. If we can get enough orders, then I will have my car at Versus to have the prototype made, but we need to get more people signed up.

ahhh, so you are trying to drum up business so YOU get YOUR kit..

Fair warning, I do not want to see one of these threads produced per week... either bump RJ's kit thread and discuss your concerns in there or deal with it....

I remember the time when we needed 20 people to buy in to a friggen 50.00 dual gauge pod... it took 6 months!!!!!!!!..... talk about pulling your hair out...

In all honesty, he needs to make the kit and get it on a couple cars.. others will follow suit.. No one likes to be the guinea pig... I admire his hard work...

wish I could buy a kit, but if my car gets lower it will never make it out of the garage... these body kits are for you CA guys with your flat roads and flat driveways...

carry on..

Yet he is driving a luxury car....

If you don't have the money, don't mod your car, this isn't a cheap hobby. I'm lucky cause I have little monthly expenses, so I can affors to do this, for now, but if you don't have the money, thats fine, but don't complain about cost. He said it was too expensive, not I don't have the money. When looking at the few other options for a body kit for our car, this kit is very reasonably priced.

Technically, the kit will be made, but it's not like I can test the market, the tooling and setup costs a good amount of moola, and there is a minimum of 25 kits to be made in the first batch. Now the TL kit we are doing is almost sold out with the same visual representation and there have been alot of inquiries for the TSX and other more recent cars. I was willing to bring something to the market for our car since everybody was constantly complaining, and since I thought the car deserved it, but I am second guessing it from a finacial point of view after seeing the response now. It's really not a big deal, the few deposits would be refunded easilly and I would consider doing the kit or at least part of the kit when i have money to burn. Right now tho, it's crucial that I select the most potentially successul projects since it is the beginning of the business.

As of now, I will be doing the kit, but it might be pushed back a month or so, while the TL kit will be on scheduale and getting priority. We actually only have 2 more kits left from the initial 25. The CL kit only had 4 deposits.

Smitty, this was not in any way a cheap way to drum up business, doubt a bunch of words will make people participate, but your right about the time frame to get the deposits. I want to remain loyal to the CL, and will do the kit, just might take longer than expected. Thanks for the support either way guys.

Actually, Versus is not making the Kit, its the same facility that is making the TL kit, and who have made the Saleen Kits for the Mustang, as well as L-Sportline kits.

I would love to have the kit, but already bought brakes and rims for the summer. Only one big purchase a year for the baby.

No it wouldn't look stupid. But it would help with it being lowered.

Gte some 22" wheels to fill the gap, lol. But seriously, drop would help in the looks dept. But the kit and wheels each haVe a more dramatic effect on appearance.

If I need to put money down on this to get the kit made, then I will. Then I can hope to have the money by the time it comes out. But since RonJon made it sound like the kit was getting made regardless, I thought it would be in my best interest to just save up as much as I can until it actually comes out (I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this too).

That being said, I will do whatever I can to make sure this kit actually gets made. I don't want to go through another body kit thread like the sema kit one a while back. I want this kit, and I will buy one. It's just a question of when I have the money.

I couldnt have put it any better. I was just under the impression that enough people would throw down a deposit and they were going to get made anyways. If I need to throw down a deposit I will.

if you want to place a deposit, thats cool, but i'm gonna do it anyway. I thougth from the initial feedback that a deposit would reserve the kit while it was being produced, but we have a bunch left. in a month or two that might not be the case.

Dang...that's the first time i've seen that kit. I think i'll put off project BMW, 240, and Prelude and buy that kit...it's stunning!

Give me about 2 weeks and i'll have the cash to send you for deposit...you can count me in!

This works out great since my rear bumper has a scuff where somebody backed into it!
