My CL's leaking?

I have noticed this weird sound for awhile now. I thought it was just wind sound from AC, but it's from engine. It's not from my CAI, I think it's coming from header. (I'm not sure about this). It didn't have any sound when Comptech header was installed when was about 5 months ago. Is leaking sound similar to wind sound? Does leaking decrease the power too?

if by wind you mean kind of a whine then there is a very very good chance its your transmission. i've replaced two of them in CLs that were makign wind/whine type of noise when driving /under load

If you are hearing a whine, which varies depending on RPMs and happens during acceleration, then it's probably your transmission. A lot of people have had this issue.

I've had 2 transmissions replaced because of it...two. My third one has slowly started making the noise again as well. It's annoying as hell if I drive without the radio on. I have 53k on the car, so I am going to keep going in for new transmissions until the warranty on it expires at 100k... or until I get one that doesn't make that annoying whine.

dont even come close to taking apart the transmission dude all it is is extar hose that shots ATF down the fill plug hole. it only cools 2nd gear and slightly extends tranny life by lubricating 2nd gear clutches and does not effect dirvability in any way . so there is no need to drive the car . its all in yoru head dude
