Just rolled my milage to 140k today. So sad. I can't decide wether to drop an h22 in her or buy something newer with less miles. Any suggestions?

my 92 Accord has 250,000+ miles; still contemplating whether to H22 her or not; but I'd rather hold the $$$ and see how far she'll go till it's time to really swap engines.

 

im with you. im still warrentied until may 04. its goin in for new o2 sensor and my wiper switch is messed up. just got a new radiator 3 months ago. got to get everything fixed b4 its too late.

 

Well i'm gettin like 1k from my tx rtns so the h22 drop may become a reality. If i plan on keeping my tranny since it is a manual, what would i have to buy? Just the engine and the oppropriate ecu jumper if i get an obd2 engine? Or would i still need the manifold, throttle bodies, distibuter and all that junk? How much would it run if i keep my tranny( not including install, i'll worry about that later. Gotta find somewhere in all these cornfields that will do an engine swap!)? Thanks for any info as i'm sure this has all been asked before. I'm not very good at searching, short attention span.

 

P.S. if a mod wants to move this to first gen it would probably be ok there too
