Road Noise

I took out my back seat and rear pannel to find out where my latest rattle was comming from (Peice of metal that holds the plastic trunk supports broke loose).

While everything was out of the car i noticed that you could see through to the ground (in the front of the rear seat cushions, you'll have to take out the black ovals the cushion goes into). There is a lot of road noise comming through there!!! Anyone know why this is like this and if its ok to plug up or cover.

Peace!

Its because are CL's are made EXTREMELY cheap.

If they were made of high quality materials, then the resale value would also be more.

If you think about it, the car really is only worth about $25K, brand new, or less.

Try Dynamat. Maybe you can apply it to the underside of the plug holes???

Dude.. I can barely get my finger in there. I was thinking of plugging them from under the car and maybe putting some expanding foam in there or something. I dont wanna do this if there is a reason for the holes to be there.

TypeSkid, that is the most ludicrous statement I've ever read or heard. What $25,000 car would you compare it to? The CL is more comparable to a $35,000 car and some $40,000 cars. Read any car review and they rave about its value.

I believe they're just water drain holes. (duh) I'm sure you knew that. So it isn't THAT important but there is a purpose. Up to user preference here I guess. Don't see any other purpose....maybe something with air circulation, etc....try a temporary fix.....see if there are any negative effects....poor circulation etc. Just brianstorming here.....
