Road Lamps or fog lamps?

The lamps below my headlights, I don't know if you call them fog lamps or road lamps.... NE ways
My right road lamp is cracked and both road lamp bulbs are blown. How do I change the lamp and bulbs. I'm a new CL-s owner and a little apprehensive about touchin things without getting the right info. How much do you think these parts will cost me to replace?

replace the bulbs with piaa 19224 or polarg (I think m6 from polarg)

they should be maybe $15 for the pair? not sure...search google its been a few years since I bought mine.

and get the road lamp plastic from the dealer. not sure the cost on that either.

its easy to fix that stuff though, just get on your back under the car and pop out the weather gaurd plastic pieces, then you will just see some screws for the road lamps. its really easy and shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes for the whole thing. just make sure you don't touch the new bulbs with your hands (oil on them makes them blow out quicker).

I agree with what beetroot said, but I think there is an easier way to remove the road lamp. You can access a screw with a long phillips screwdriver through the inside of the bottom grill. A flashlight would help. Unscrew it, it won't come out, but just loosens. You should now be able to pop ou the lamp housing.

These same instructions would go for an 03 owner who wants to install the lamps also. Aside from the wiring aspect which has already been covered in another topic?

To replace you bulbs...
================
1) Bulb (stock), 12V 5W, Acura 2002 CLS, P/N 33301-SA0-741, qty 2, ($3.36)

1A) Bulb, 12V 18W, P/N PIAA 19224, qty 2, ($15) (I installed these instead of the stock. They closely match the headlights in color)

To replace your cracked Roadlamps...
==========================
2) Roadlamp - Light housing unit, right, Acura 2002 CLS, P/N 33901-S3M-A02, qty 1, ($35.18)

3) Roadlamp - Light housing unit, left, Acura 2002 CLS, P/N 33951-S3M-A02, qty 1, ($35.18)

Click here for instructions on how to install 2002 CLS fogs (roadlamps) on 2003 CLS

i agree, too many uptights here who yell at people for that.

i say you just get rid of the roadlamps and put some real foglights in those holes. it will look better and improve ground lighting alot more.

Your advice is much appreciated! Do you have any idea where I can buy these items at those prices? Also, does it matter that I have an 01 and not an 02 or do they use the same bulbs?
