![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I was looking at a new RL the other day while walking to my car and i saw that the RL has the closed piston caliper (i'm not sure if it is 2 or 4 piston???)
And i was wondering if the calipers for the RL will fit on our rotors i'm sure you would have to do some modification but i think it would be worth it because they would really increase brake performance without having to spend the money to buy a BBK

4 piston fixed caliper, instead of floating single piston caliper
too much work involved, installation is different and requires too much development, you are better off with Excelerate's Rotora BBK bolt-on kits.
oem single piston caliper bolts are installed from engine bay screwing towards wheel, RL calipers bolts are installed from front to rear (from front of caliper towards the knuckle/hub).
CL bolts install are perpendicular compared to RL bolts install

Hey how about the 04-05 TL 6spd Brembo's????? The rotors are closer to our size

Does anyone have pictures of how the 2 calipers mount to the hub?
Pending any clearance issues, it's quite likely that you'd be able to get some adaptor brackets fabbed at a machine shop for around $150 if you bring them in a CAD file.

Bad thing is, IF you did fab the adapters up, you'd be looking at $800 in calipers alone. Wonder how this breaks down with other BBK's. If it's comparable (assuming it's even doable) then I say why not. I'm not willing to pioneer this one though. Even if then, I'd still wonder about performance and reliability. All things to consider. Who will be the brave soul to take on this seemingly impossible task?

Granted, the new RL is probably hard to find in the boneyard right now, but give it a few years.

Just do the legend caliper Swap with some decent slotted/drilled rotors (whatever your prefer) . You will be satisfied, just watch your ABS sensors when you do it.......
If money is a concern check these out. I did the Legend swap with a set of these:

And I am loving it.
