AT this point, the front lip alone is not available since stock is so limited, you'd have to wait until the next GB or wait until we have another production run from regular orders. We only have one kit left in stock from this GB production run.

Your kit is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow or Monday, yours was the first kit paid for in full, thanks.

Also, good news and bad news about the wheels and the offer I extended to you. We'll talk.

Ron,

Will shipping notifications be sent to customers who have paid for their kit?

curious on what estimates others may have received to get this kit painted and installed. I got a quote from the Acura collision repair shop and it was about $1700+ to paint and install the kit. Here's the quote - let me know if you guys think this is fair or if there are other shops I should be considering. I don't want to risk a low quality job just to save a few bucks but I also don't want to get ripped off either. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Cot Damn, go somewhere else (unless they seem like they would do a spectacular job), that sounds like rape.

The installation can be done by you if you are decent with your hands, and the paint isn't like painting a whole car.

Well, try getting another quote and first ask for the kit alone, then separate it and ask for the additional bumper respray, see what they can "throw in" while they are shooting the kit. All in all, it's good to shop around a little. and make sure they are not one of those insurance only places, because those kids of places want the car in and out as soon as possible, and they don't give a rats ass about warranty of paint issues. try to find a place that takes pride in their work.

this was their 1st offer after a phone call, without debate or haggling. This quote was also sent before I provided them with your step by step instructions, photos, etc. I am hoping, after providing them this, that they will say it is easier than expected and lower my cost somewhat. I do plan to let them know of other quotes received and try to save money using competition to my advantage.

I do plan to barter it down if possible when I meet with them, but I'm in line with the thinking 'you get what you pay for', and I'd rather pay more to have experts who know Acura's, our paint, etc. and have done 100's, not just a few over the years.

I also had confidence in that the Acura Collision Center was familiar with this kit and noted it is of good quality (nice endorsement from Acura!).

I had also called 2 other shops and the first didn't give me much confidence and the 2nd said they wouldn't do it because they refused to warranty the work since it was a 3rd party kit and their policy is to warranty all work.

Acura, while expensive, will warranty the work and seemed to show a comfort level to perform the project. I'll let you know how the meeting goes and if my quote improves any

Hey man, I'm another 03 anthracite owner, what are you on for suspension? You can PM me back.

Just PM'd RJ about a left over CL kit so my car will basically look like yours haha except I've got the A-Specs.

Very nice car

Here is a quick cellphone picture of the car. Picked up the car on Tuesday... I'll post cleaner photos after I give the car a bath.

yeah, looks clean, need to remove the front plate for the shoot, assuming there will be one. Definitely deserves a dedicated shoot.

I agree... I will be sure to take the front plate off before taking cleaner photos. My intention was to attend the Skyline Drive meet on 6/18/11, but the best laid plans were derailed once again.

The car is currently lowered on H-Techs and I don't want to go any lower since I occasionally venture into D.C. and need every bit of suspension travel I can get.

Ron,

I noticed the s-bracket for the rear bumper was not installed. Is that a part I should contact you for? The bumper has a slight concave look at the bottom, and I think it's due to the lack of the s-bracket.

"S" bracket is not something we provide, it's just a tip for those who decide to use it. I actually put a piece of foam between the OEM bumper and the lip and siliconed it in instead to get the lip to stay straight, then I put a piece of tape to hold it in place until it dried.
