Well Saturday June 18th at 4:30 PM I totaled my car. The little red car ran the red light and got the ticket. It all happened so fast there was very little I could do. Now it is time to start shopping for a new car.

Yeah the car took the hit awesome. Both door still opened. The roof did buckle so it has major structural damage. I tried looking for a silver, 6spd with Navi. There were only 2 available nationwide Sunday. Both were sold by the time I could call on them Monday morning.

Smitty is selling his SSM (not sure if it's navi):

Hey guys…..quit wrecking your 6-Speeds.
I like being in this “exclusive club”, but enough is enough.
I bet our numbers are down near 2000 by now.

damn..... my heart dropped when I saw those pics.. I have same exact car except it ain't 6mt and no navi.. but then again from appearance they look the same right???

Sorry to sound dick about it, but would you be interested in selling the spoiler and door sills? I've been looking for someone with SSM spoiler so I don't have to get it painted. PM me if u ever consider.

I am considering two cars
2005 Acura TL 6spd, navi, silver, black
2005 infiniti G35 Sedan 6spd (298hp) Silver or slate blue w/black leather.

I am really leaning toward the TL after yesterday's test drive in the G. It didn't feel fast at all. I was really dissapointed with how jerky the acceleration was on the car. I am also not a big fan of the pop Navi personaly. The TL is also cheaper. I have a local dealer that will sale me one w/navi for 33,200.

I most likely won't be pulling the spoiler off the car. I have however pulled the Door sills off and the type S license plate frame. I can be emailed at mbparker@sbcglobal.net

Sorry dude.

I got into a pretty bad accident like that also with my 95 Legend sedan. Some chick tried to bust a quick left turn while the light was green and I t-boned her. 100% her fault because I was going straight and it was my right of way. But the good thing about the accident was I got my CL. Now you can move on to bigger and better things like I did. Oh yeah, wanna sell your NAVI?

I was able to pull all of the toys out of the car. The intake was destroyed in the accident.

I am still waiting for the offer from State Farm. They seem to move a little slow for me. I am really planning on holding out for 21K plus tax, which is retail plus sales tax. I have heard that is what I am diserving. Of course rental car, Emergency room will be added in.

I dont think you will get that much. From what I was told by progressive (other persons ins co) they use nada to get there value and back it up with kbb. If you look on those sites the trade in value on our car is 17-18k Thats what I was told they go off of. I have state farm too and since the guy who hit me only has 10k in coverage I now have to let my ins co handel it and then they will go after whoever to get there money back. I think they are going to tell me today what the deal is....I will let you know.

Please do let me know.
If I were you I would not settle for trade in value. THe offer should be full replacement (retail value) value plus sales tax according to several people I have spoken to.

Trade in value doesn't cut it... Tell 'em you don't want the money, you just want them to find you a replacement CLS...

Honest truth is I am going to take a hit anyway its worked. The damage on mine is not as much as yours...so it could or could not be totaled. Its getting its estamet now. If the trade in value would make it totaled but the resale value wouldnt....what would you want. A almost totaled car that was fixed...maybe, or it being totaled and moving on to something else new with no "if's"? If they were to fix it...I would want to sell it...once someone knows it was almost totaled with a buckled roof...they will laugh at the trade in value. Either way you cut it im going to be out
