Rims on order, I am excited....!!!!

After two months of researches and sleepless nights, I finally decided on the rims I want. Placed an order today on
Dronell Type-I's 19x8 with 235-35 Toyos T 1's. I wanted a super chrome finish, but then decided that a 3 piece wheel doesn't really
need to be all chrome....Plus my car is silver and it will be a good match.
I should get them by Monday, will post some pics. I also got the
Phillips 6K bulbs on order, so will post all the new add on pics next week.
Stay tuned...

Glad to hear you finally made a decision dude. We'll have to hook up when you get them so I can see your ride.
Hey, where did you get your Toyo T1S's from? And how much did they run you?

I got mine from discount @ $285 / tire. Alltogether, $1435

Any idea how much each one of those weighs?
And one more question, will your lip be as big as the lip in the picture? Any idea what the offset is?

Ohh, and good decision on the silver finish.

I paid $3500 for everything together. I have no idea how much the tire weights, I am going to find out 2morrow and let you know Mantis. The wheel weights about 26-27 pounds. The lip should look identical to the pic....
Yeah, as soon as I get them will have a get together. Whats the status of you rims, timewise?

Dronnel is the only wheel mfgr that I've seen that has these weird offsets..

+47
+43

strange..

you would normally see +42, +45, +48 an so on.. hardly any +47 out there.. :-/

But those wheels are sweet.. make sure to get pics up when you get them on

HOPEFULLY, they are less than a month away. At best, I'm looking at April 15th. Realistically its closer to May. I'm going to contact Tribal Pacific and see if they have a delivery date yet.

What pisses me off about the whole thing is that there is some guy selling the replica rims (made by the same company) who can get them for a hell of a lot cheaper, AND claims he can get them to me in 2 weeks. Ohh well. Too bad I'm pretty much stuck with my current order.

Better replace those puny OEM rotors with some Brembos.

I REALLY considered hooking up with the Brembos. Only problem with those is, if you get a flat, you really can't go anywhere until you get a replacement tire for the 19s. Its not like you can slap the factory rim on there. I admit, they are hot, but I don't want to find myself in that situation.

You Bastard... :P

Here is the reply I got from my sales rep @ tribal pacific. Damn he's fast.

No, they don't give specific delivery dates. Special Order wheels will come along with the regular container shipment that goes directly to the importer. The importer tells us approximately 60 days. They usually get shipments every 30-45 days days and the time that it takes to get your wheels constructed, packed and ready to go will most likely follow that schedule.

So in short, its a moving target.

Yeah, they look almost identical to Hamman. When I was in Europe last week, I saw an M3 with Hammans, they looked freaking awesome, thats one of the reasons I've decided to get Dronnels...
