rim leak?

i have been having this problem with my right front tire, like every 2 weeks or less i have to go to the station and put air in it. it drops to around 22 psi!! the guy at the station thinks it might be a rim leak. i dont think its a flat tire. but if its a rim leak, is that covered in my warranty?? thanks

I don't know about a warranty issue like that, but if the wheels are leaking do to normal wear and tear, or as a result of a factory defect, then I *think* they owe you a new wheel (but I'm not the dealer).

Did the guy who checked for leaks, do a bubble test -- roll the outside of the tire in a water bath to look for bubbles?

Don't know, just some ideas and they are just opinions...

The dealer or a good tire shop should be able to bust the wheel and tire down, clean the bead, apply a sealant, and re-inflate. Provided there is not a defect in the rim i.e. Bent. I would try this first.

Must be one of his mods. Afterall his age does change from stock everyday. Besides, it seems some folks think that every self-tapping screw, nut and bolt belongs in their sig.

Mine did the same thing except it was the front left tire. The valve stem needed to replaced. Was told the the stem was cracked whiched caused the air leak. Have not had a problem since.

When I first got my CL-S, one of my tires was losing tire pressure abnormally as well. It turned out there was a small hole in the rim so they replaced it for me under warranty. Haven't had a problem since.

No one has a problem with your age from what I can tell except for you. Just wanted to know why it was in your sig.

Its funny that this topic comes up. I bought a set of 18 inch Konig Caffiene's and one of them had a manufacturers crack on the inside of the rim. I took it back to the place i bought them from and the guy was a straight shooter. He ordered me a new without askin any questions. It is a very tiny crack, but it was still causin my tire to go flat. so he patched it up with some stuff and put it back on until the new one arrives.

I need also to keep an eye on the driver side front tire. Today, I stopped at the gas station to pump 35 PSI and found that said tire had 20 PSI!!!

It could be just me, while trying to pump some air I was deflating the tire. now that the front one are pumped 35-36 PSI.

Tommorrow, I would go to the place where I mounted my tires for a checkup on them. I have been told that it could be that the tire did not set correctly when mounted.

Does not feel good driving and when you bad feeling about the the new tires/wheels.

We will see....
