right-side headlight not working, any ideas?
hi all,
recently i noticed that the right-side (passenger) headlight wasn't coming on. so the first thing i did was order some new lights. over the weekend they were installed but the light still doesn't come on and it's only the passenger sice headlight... the high-beam still works.
i'm wondering if any of you might have some idea of what's going on and/or if someone might have a wiring diagram they could email to me.
thanks in advance.

so you replaced the HID bulb? maybe you have a bad ballast.

I had a similar problem with my left side headlights, but both high and low beams were dead. I also spent like $100 on bulbs. I brought it to my dealer today and they found out the "inverter control unit" for the lights was bad and replaced it. It was under warranty for my '03, but since lights are a safety issue, they should be able to cover it.

it could be a bad inverter unit (ballast) but i once had a similiar problem when i had foglights installed, when the stock driving lights were removed, power to the passenger side headlight was cut as well. for some reason the right headlight gets its power from the lower driving light. you may want to check that.

Sounds like a bad ballast.

well, when i installed my PIAA's, we just clipped the wires off the connectors of the driving lights and deaded the ends. and when we put the wires together the headlight came on. even though you didnt plug in the light, the connection was still there, whereas clipping the wires completely causes a break. i know it sounds entirely stupid and it took us 2 hours to figure out and we couldn't understand it either.
