Ride quality on Comptech Springs??

Hello Guys,

I don't have a CL, but I have 00 GS Integra. I've read a lot from the members on this board about the comptech springs. I was wondering the best route to go.....I'm getting 18's so I need to lower the car. I was wondering how the ride quality was? Also, can I just get the lower springs, or do I need the whole suspension kit?

Thanks!

I had my springs installed yesterday (CL-S): I didn't notice any difference in ride this morning during my 25 mile commute. I did notice that I now seem to have a better view out the front, I am now looking more at the road instead of along the length of the hood then road. I like the new look but that is really subjective to personal opinion. I had a 1987 Integra for 13 years and in no way are these cars comparable in ride: I know the newer tegs ride a lot better, still you should find someone who has these springs on a similar car as yours.

The ride quality is pretty good comparied to stock. unless you go over a big pot hole. plus if your getting 18'z that will effect your ride quality as well.

What are the costs of this mod (springs and installation)? How much lower will the car be on stock rims and tires?

search on "springs" there are plenty of opinions and before and after pictures. My cost was springs $320 from autocarparts.com , installation at a small local shop $200, dealer alignment because the local shops don't have the 2001 spec's is $74 @ Goodson, Vandergrift wanted $ 99. soooo total is about $600, don't tell my wife.

Damn, all of that is cheaper than putting a plastic spoiler on the rear! I can't figure out why those spoilers are so expensive!

As mentioned the rake is much lower so the view out of the windshield is much better. Comptech springs lower the car a bit more in front than in the back. The look of the car is more aggressive and just plain secksy. On stock rims and rubber the front is a NOTICEABLE 1.5" lower while the rear is slightly less.

Good point on the cost of the cosmetic only spoiler vs. the suspension upgrade. Although the suspension if done right (springs, sways, coilovers) would be way more than a spoiler.

Pardon my stupidity... what are coilovers? I am considering the springs and sways right now. Maybe an aftermarket spoiler later.
