Rewire Roadlamps to Parking Lights

Hi all,

I DID use the search and came up with something but it was not detailed. I wanted to rewire the roadlamps to turn on when i turn on the parking lights on the first click.... i read that i needed to rewire the negative/positive stuff...but i was wondering where all that stuff is located? can someone pls provide a more detailed DIY possibly with pictures on where the wires are etc etc?

Thank you in advanced. Ive been searching seriously for a day now before i posted this. thanks again.

Wouldn't you rather have them wired to a separate switch? I found this link. It might help a little: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...t=light+switch

it seems more of a hassle doing the switch, i prefer the most easiest way possible as im not too familiar with this car yet since i just got it. So i think ill stick with the roadlamps turning on when the parking lights are on...that seems easier. thanks again in advanced and for your help

Push housing at the screw side.

Tap power from the sidemarkers.

View with bumper-cover off.

Unplugged the bulb socket from stock wire and connected it to the new wires.

There was a thread about this sometime last year.
Anyway, The way to do this:
-Pull out your roadlamps
-The socket in the back which holds the bulb will have 2 wires going to it on the drivers side and 3 wires total going to the one on the pass side.
- On the pass side, cut the 2 + wires and make sure you tape the 2 wires going to the car together or your pass side headlight will not work
-On drivers side, cut the + wire and just tape up the wire going to the car.
-Turn your wheel so that you can pull the fender lining out a bit. Stick your hand in there and pull out the corner bulb.
-get a volt meter or something
-turn on parking lights
-find the wire out of the 3 that is hot
-run a wire from that to the + side on the roadlamp socket or to the wire which you previously cut (might be a good idea to lengthen the wires)
-do the same on both sides
-You're done

to be a bit more safe, you can also run the ground to the parking lights. this way, you wont cause a short and a blown fuse for hooking up the wrong wire.

10 min in MS Paint... Blah:

its so easy i dont know why ppl make it sound hard. just snip off the harness and cap the ends going to the car then take the wires and tap them into the parking lights. make sure you find the constant because there is bliking and running but otherwise its very simple.

I did this on my brothers CL, and it worked for a moment, but I may have shorted something out. The instrument panel lights and the parking lights don't light up anymore and I cant find a blown fuse. What could it be?
