Retarding the engine for NOS application

Anybody know if there's a way to retard my engine w/o buying an aftermarket ignition system? If so, got the directions? Also, what are the effects on everyday driving after doing so (e.g. mpg, power, idle...)?

I would just buy this uni-chip from mattg, already set-up for use with nitrous.

That's a good price and idea, but it's a little outta my price range for now It was like pulling teeth from my girlfriend just to order my thermoblok spacers in the GB.

You have to get permission from your girlfriend to buy stuff?

Eat PB&J and/or Mac and Cheese for a few weeks. Save the cash. Nothing else is going to work as well as the UniChip for a NOS application. No one said modding these cars was cheap.

It was just a ploy to get Matt to feel bad and drop his price which didn't work I guess . Nah, but seriously though, I guess it's time to start saving. Sounds like it's the best way to go.

MSD Ignition has a piecethat you can use to retard but.... you will have to manually retard each time you use the nitrous.

Buy Matts box like they said. That box is more than you think. It runs the Zex kit electronics. If you misss getting that Box it will be a big mistake. He had it tuned @ the Unichip facility. Call Jos at Unichip and ask him what he did. Matts car was flying !
