This is with the rear resonators removed...I plan on upgrading the B-pipe to a straight 2.5" pipe connecting to the axle back.

I have comptech headers to a glasspack and then straight pipe all the way to the comptech mufflers and it sounds amazing. Not ricey at all. Any vid that i take makes it sound like shit but anyone that you talk to that has heard my car can and will say that it sounds nice. Its not high pitched. Its got a deep low tone. I'll see if i can get someone with a camera or something that can record it well. I have not found anyone with anything yet...

Talking

There's always haters.

My exhaust is actually pretty quiet at cruising speeds.

I agree whole-heartedly with arthban. <--You'd probably like the sound of mine.

Why? Your not gaining anything but noise. Not even looks. Go with the CT setup, It's plenty loud for NYC. Beside how will you pass inspection taking that stuff out? I have a SI friend that has a CLP & he did it. He could pass inspection & had to pay to get the stuff installed again.

The reason for doing it was i wanted to do the custom piping from the cat back and the resonator was making a ticking noise yesterdaqy which makes me think there is a leak

It sure does tick, its just the exhaust passing through the resonator.

Here in PA you dont need it to pass inspection. Its just something that is there that takes away sound. I heard a VR6 golf before and after and it sounded pretty good after.

And how did I offend you? I was telling you that the first resonator does tick. Talk to an Acura mechanic before you think I'm posting something dumb. More often then not, you probably don't have an exhaust leak anywhere, just the exhaust passing through. How do you think this is a dumb comment, I have no idea.

I have a flowmaster 40 series resonator and a Random Tech cat coming which will be installed with 2.5" piping and am going to post up a vid to give others, and including you an idea for exhaust projects. I'm just trying to help. But there's no reason to be a dick if you might have misconstrued what I was saying.

But seriously, if you have a type-s, don't bother touching the exhaust. It's not worth the money unless you plan on doing some engine building like boring out to a 3.5L, boosting, or any other major project to where you want crazy horsepower.
