Resetting Maintenance light on dash!

Resetting Maintenance light on dash!
Just found out how to re-set the maintenance light on the dash.
1. With car off, press both trip odometer buttons (reset and select I believe).
2. While keeping both buttons pressed, turn ignition swith to ACC (not turnining the car on, just where you can see all the lights on the dash light up).
3. Continue to press them for about 5 to 10 seconds.
4. Take fingers off buttons, and take key out of ignition swith.
5. Turn car on, and the maintenance light should be off.
Remember that this light serves as a warning. Only do this when absolutely sure the light is on for other reasons, other than maintenance required.
For instance, I knew I needed an oil change. I turned it off, knowing what the car needed.

2. the maintenance required light is triggered by mileage, not vehicle condition. it'll start coming on again as you near 7500 miles from when you reset it last.
