Rental coverage when Car is in for Maintenance???

Help guys...my coworker brought her TL in to get a 30K service and to get her navi replaced and they kept the car for 2 days to do this. They still tell her that she doesn't get a free rental. I thought that there was somewhere in a manual or on a website that said that if something is in for maintenance, they provide you for a rental....same goes for major service that they'd give you a rental.

Anyone know where that info. is? Maybe I missed it from the TLC and warranty manuals.

Thanks!

Loaners are strickly up to the individual dealer. There's nothing stated anywhere that says they HAVE to give one out.

Although, it's pretty shitty to keep a car for several days and not provide some kind of transportation...

It varies from dealer to dealer, but it's not required... but I agree that it sucks....

Ask first... most probably if they do offer a rental you need to book one before hand... It is a selling point for most Acura dealer to offer a FREE rental.

I always make sure they have one available when I bring my car in. My dealer in Phoenix has never taken my car without giving me a loaner.

Why was the Navi replaced after 30K?
