Remus Exhaust Muffler Has Arrived!!
got home today and there it was..
Product name
Single "Turbo" 4.02" (Round Can - 70TD) Rev3
Total Wieght- approx. 20 lbs
what do you guys think?
your opinion
-bad or good. it doesn't matter.i just wanna have an idea of what the community thinks of this.
i only have only one muffler so far. i'm just waiting for someone to buy my subs thats for sale in the BLACK MARKET or i'll order it friday(3/14/08) when i get my Taxes back and my paycheck.
my question is...
what do you think is the easiest way to install? (clamps, weld, etc)
b/c on monday i will be putting my car on a lift to plan on how to attack this install. so when the second muffler arrives i can install these more smoothly.
Thank you AZiners,
-AFF

should look badass if that tip length comes to the right position under the rear bumper...we dont know about this muffler, or at least i dont, so maybe post a sound clip eventually if you feel like. either way i support new ideas and at least you stayed classy: the round tips are already proven to look great on our back ends as with comptech systems.
good luck with install

ordering the second muffler tomarrow!!
i placed the remus muffler next to my stock can. it looks like its going to stick out a good 3 inches past where the stock TIP ends. it will depend on how i do it.
from looking at my cl's piping. it looks like i will need to be creative on this install..pictures will be posted up next week. i'll definately need some ideas.
fsttyms1..i might need a little help.lol

update.
got both mufflers now in my trunk. and got all that i can do planned out. after this post i'm going to sleep so i can work on the install in the morning and hopefully for the rest of the week. also planned for burns, back pains, scraps, and cuts...first-aid kit on site.lol. sh!t happens..
-so i'm going to cut all piping from the REAR exhast flange from the CAT(catback)
-then use the old flange with new 2.5" piping welding to it all the way back to a custom y-pipe.
-then the custom y-pipe to the mufflers. for holding up the muffler i will have to weld (4) 1/4" bars to the rim of the mufflers for it to go into the holders. (2 bars to each muffler)
-then heat up the 1/4" round steel bar and bend it into shape.
-clamp/weld/use flanges to bolt up the mufflers to the y-pipe
-it looks nice when i was just mocking up the mufflers...*smiles*
(i saw a silver tl on wisconsin ave by the fox river mall earlier today. he was chirping through 1st and 2nd then ran out of road.lol. the vtec grunt sounds nice.) i was working outside @ PDQ. who are u?

took it for a test drive. sounds real deep.
the passenger side is a bit lower than the driver side, but i'll take care of that tomarrow. i'm tired of getting burned from welds
this project was a bitch.

WOW..i sure got lazy!!!! I started college in the middle of summer..
i finally did something though..HERE YOU GO!!!!!
the roads were very short..and the mufflers are very deep and bass-y..if you have subs on your computer you should will enjoy the sound a lot better with them turned up.

yea. i think speakers do these mufflers poor justice. i've herd the comptechs before and in MY opinion. the remus' are louder, deeper/bass-y, and look more unique on the CLs.
-------may this serve as a resource for people to compare sounds
i'll take pics of them...

nice! ive asked about Remus exhaust on our cars about a year ago, but no one really had an idea of what it would have sounded like. Its nice, i like. though i wish i could hear it in person. i was looking at the twin turbos but they looked like they wold have been a litle too wide for the cut exhaust cutouts of our bumpers. Very nice though, now its a question of if i want to acutally go through all that trouble to make it fit, or just buy a CT Axleback for a decently easy bolt on. [thumbsup]
btw, nbennettksu, Remus actually does have a Romulus line. hehe... [rofl]
