Removing resonator???

How do you all think the exhaust would sound if I had the resonator removed??? The one that is attatched to the exhaust system midway under the car? Any suggestions? Anyone done it?? I only have a stock exhaust system on it now...nothing special. Looking for a super cheap way to make it sound a little meatier!

do NOT remove the resonator on stock exhaust!!!

it makes a very very raspy sound and it will sound very horrible. (i've done this)

if you have it removed and you already have different exhaust (like comptech mufflers) then it will make the tone of the mufflers so much louder. it still sounds like a very low bassy sound and is not raspy, but it's just overall so much louder.

just do NOT remove it with stock mufflers otherwise you will be embarrased very badly on the raspy and horrible sound

way over exageratted :P it's not very Fkin loud when removed on stock mufflers. the sound is slightly louder but not as you make it seem. removing it with stock mufflers makes a very horrible raspy sound come out of the mufflers.

and if you remove it on other mufflers it just makes them the volume on them 3 times as loud but still a good bassy tone, just too loud.

yeah I've also taken out my resonator. When it is cold it makes a tin can type of noise, When warmed up it makes the exhaust sound a little deeper. I'd advise against removing the resonator. It gets annoying after awhile. I'd wait until you changed your stock mufflers and got a new exhaust.

Not worth the horsepower or noise.

The resonator gets rid of that constant throttle moan. You want to keep it around. It won't give you a better exhaust sound, just get's rid of the stuff you don't want to hear.

If you pull it, you'll probably regret it in a short while.
