Just curious if anyone has done this? And how difficult it is?

The body colored plastic piece that is halfway down the door. It runs from the front fender to the rear fender. I can post pics tomorrow if nobody knows what I'm talking about...

Is this a 2nd gen CL? Cause there is no trim half way down the door runing front to rear. The TL has that trim. In any case it's held on with double skicky tape. Heat it up then with dental floss or fishing line run it behind the trim to cut the tape. Remove the residue with goo-gone or WD-40 then clean & wax the area.

Well then, who ever had the car before you put it on. They don't come that way. And by the looks of the edge it's for the TL & cut to fit the CL.

What do you think the best way to heat it up is? A hairdryer or a space heater or something??

Hairdryer should do it. I've taken trim like that off of other cars without even heating it up. Depends on what was used to stick it on. I'd start at the back piece to see what it's like.

If that's like the TL, it's held on by plastic clips. At least it is on my 2000TL. But then, the TL has grooves for it to fit in as well so this may use tape to hold it along the whole length.
