I just had an idea. I don't know if someone has started this before but I just wanted to put down some shops that's done work for us and they've given great service and without ripping apart our pockets . If everyone wants to give some feedback or input please add it on to the list. Hopefully this can help our members reference shops for their needs so they don't have to search around yellowpages and be skeptical if these different shops are reliable or not.

I just dropped off my grilles at a body shop...I'll post how it turns out but everything thus far seems cool and they sound like they know a thing or two about customizing.

 

how long ago did you take it to king tint? and you said it was 150 for a cl right?

 

I actually haven't taken it yet. My guy (Johnny) from international auto body referred me to them. But haven't had the cash to go yet. The other place that he referred me to, Concept Mufflers, did a great job and Bernie was hella cool and nice. So I trust the referrals are reliable. PLUS, lotta guys from the e92-93 or whatever forums take their cars to Johnny at International Auto.

So, I know this guy does good work and wouldn't refer me to someone he doesn't think would do nothing less than a great job . Besides they specialize in porsche's and have a reputation to uphold heh.

btw, on my black cl-s i had 15% back windows and rear windshield...and 30% in the front...the place trust auto didnt have 20 percent..otherwise i woulda did that to my front windows because 30 is too light for me.... and 15 is too dark.... so i hope they have 20

btw, trust auto is all over craigslist in the bay area section..

 

Cool, let me know how it goes. When I get some money, i'm going for some tint also. Too bad I have to get my puppy to get fixed at SFSPCA. That surgery is going to cost me $350 .
That could've gone towards some tint and possibly some headers haha .

anyone from the bay area get their timing belt changed out for a good price (possibly including water pump and tensioner package?)....i know people from honda san francisco, and im getting it done for 470.00 total ...labor and materials (timing belt, waterpump, tensioner).... basicaly 200 for labor and 270 for parts......and ideas?

 

+1. I'm at 95K (500 mile/week commute) will need to look up places soon.

 

I used Custom Auto in Oakland (off hegenberger) a bit pricey, but quality work (I think it was 225 for 5 window tint. Alot of Warriors get there stuff done there, so it's good.
