but does anyone have any pictures of a black 01 3.2cl type with red honda emblems instead of the acura ones?

why down grade the badge ?

 

People do it on TL/RL/TSX/RSX for the JDM look but there is no JDM CL.

 

People only do this if their car was also offered in Japan as a Honda. This car was not sold in Japan as a Honda, so it would be %100 pointless. Sorry for the bold but i need to get this point across.

There is a CL on here with a chrome Honda badge, but not a red one. I could find the pic if you would like.

Wow, the Honda badge doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, but it is still totally out of the question for me. The CL is pretty much an american car. If anything find a cool Acura badge and put it on there.

 

I got the figerglass grille with a carbon fiber acura symbol where the black cover is right about the hood latch.

Then I grinded out the big piece of metal that was supporting the oem grille cause right behind that is where i put the CF acura symbol so it's behind the grille... SOOO sexy

are car's are too nice to call honda's... rep that acura Boi !!

i do realize that in japan/asia there are no CL that are honda branded, but i was messing around in paint the other day and i thought it looked cool/unique. just wanted to post here if anyone has got a pic of how it would actually look like

Reminds me of that "Mugen" 3G TL with the red Honda badge.

 

Maybe paint the background of your front (/\) red, then you would have a red one? Just my .

My old setup had the inner chrome bezel is painted black and the emblem has the ring painted black and I left The A in chrome.
It looked good.

Hmm, on black, I'm not really sure. I considered putting some carbon fiber material behind the emblem on mine, that might be a route to go.

 

If ur looking for a quick fix look. Maybe a black background and red A symbol. that way there's not a lot of red on a car with no red on it. Then it will look like it's for a type-s. red background on black A I like also, I just think it's too much red for where it is, especially cause there's no red on the car anywhere else.

With the red A it could pass for a stock look, but it's not. That's what I like, "classy mods" if you will

 

I'm gonna be honest, that black/grey H on the back of the anthracite really doesn't look too bad.

 

what about white back ground?

last thing u wanna do is overdoo it... but u could always try the red background 1st and if you don't like it switch it to black, and then paint the A.. ?

Had to grind out the main brace in the front of the hood so all you can see is black now

Sorry, didn't see you respond. I actually took the whole thing apart, painted the black a gloss black, not the matte black it comes as and found a red paint to match my car. You may be right that it would look better on mine than yours, but you can choose any shade of red to make it fit to your car better. I would recommend putting a couple coats of clear over it because being on the front, protect it from bugs and rocks a bit. Good luck...

 

I'm not a fan of the red on an AM CL, but I do like the red background behind the A on loweredCL's because it matches his red car. I did something similar to progression's, only I made mine myself and used the stock grill and pieces, I just cut a piece of 2x2 weave resined CF and cut it to shape, it matches my hood really well I think

Out of curiosity though, why did you put the weave in the opposite direction compared to the hood?

Yea, thats why I dont have a problem with it, I just wanted to know what his reasoning was. I like that its a laid differently from the hood. It definately gives it a better contrast.
