Thanks guys. The paint I used was called (hold the laughter) Cariper Gold/Copper caliper paint. The kit was straight from Japan and everything was in Japanese.

The rotors were R1 Concepts Premium slotted/drilled rotors. I know others on here have ran them and didn't have a great experience, but I loved mine and they stopped much better than stock.

With that color scheme you rather go the real deal...or paint them black...red and silver is too much of a clash imo....but do what you want...thats how you become an individual like supertrooper's gold calipers...very nice job super ...after reading this i might paint mine red before the meet...plus i have smr anyway...

Anyone know if these will work for the 07 TL-S. As you know it's fitted with the brembos but I like the look of the red instead of the black black "Acura" ones that come standard

So weird, my calipers were red when i bought the car and i just got back from the store looking for caliper/engine paint but they only had red and blue and i very light silver in stock.

To be honest, the red grew on me when i walked out to my car, as said, nice clean white CL calipers tie in with the tail lights --- But i feel the need to paint them just so it doesnt look like im trying to pose as having a BBK. I suppose if i do buy a BBK for the fronts only, i could possibly paint the rears to match?

The OEM calipers are so ugly though. It isn't as if they are some ballsy casting that screams "I could break this rotor in 2 if I wanted."

They're small, bland, single piston castings. Why draw attention to them by painting them red? It's like fake tits on a girl with one arm; still looks fucked up no matter what you do it it.

I think i mighta missed typing a word or two..

I feel the same way - which is why even if the color (red) looks good or not, they are getting painted black or gray. I dont wanna draw attention to something that doesnt deserve it.

I don't get it. Who would be looking at anything but the tits anyway. Plus I think amputees are sexy, especially one's with fake hooters. Does that make me weird???

Anyway, here's what I don't get. Okay, so the stock calipers and rotors and CL's are lack luster performance-wise for stopping an obese CL, but honestly I don't get how they can get better looking since so many of you guys think they are ugly. To me a caliper is a caliper, unless it's some hi-performance aftermarket BBK or Bembro. So how exactly are CL calipers so much uglier than other stock calipers out there? I just personally think calipers look nice when they have a fresh coat of paint on them (color of choice) with some nice slotted/drilled rotors. I never painted any of my car's calipers to try to make people think I had a BBK, I just liked having a little color behind the wheels.

Again, as always, my advice is to do what you like and take what other people say with a grain of salt. You're the one that's going to be looking at it everyday, not the one's that criticize you in internet-land.
