Rear Camera/TV in Bay Area

Is there any good shops in the Bay Area that can hook up a rear camera or TV into my Nav Screen? Thanks!

don't know how much. call and ask. speak with navid. it's pronounced like david only with an N in the front. he's the owner. al(berto) is the head installer. talk to him about how you might want to install it.

I put my own camera in the [unused] rear brake light and connected it into the Navi in the "video in".

Using this camera for $55. It's ok, not that great though.

So when the camera is plugged in, I see rearview image on all screens, the visor screen, the Navi screen, and the backseat screen. It's gimmicky at best. The spoiler is sorta in the way but I sure can see the police planes if they're following me from the air.

I called

Update,

I called Navid (very nice and helpful). He basically stated that TV reception was awful and not to waste money. He is looking into the rear camera option and will call me with details. I'll keep you posted! Also, Gabe got the DVD and PS2 conversion, so that is do-able if you want that.

I was quoted $750 to hookup a rearview camera to nav screen. Not sure if it is worth it? Sounds like a fair price.

lank: ask him what parts he uses. he only uses high quality parts, so if you want to use something else i'm sure it'll be cheaper. anyway the conversion costs $350 without the custom. check my thread with the link to the pics. if you were to do the conversion i'm sure you can hook up a cheap video camera to the rca jacks.

Huh. Not even close. $200, maybe. And that's with a good camera.
