rear brakes
ok so heres the issue heard a loud screeching noise yesterday so went and got brake pads, while i was replacing them i realized the caliper had seized so i replaced it... i took it for a test drive around the block but it still felt like there was still some resistance in the rear left brake. ive been reading but havent been able to find anything on how to adjust the parking brake/parking brake pad, because i saw someone suggest it on another thread. btw the left rear wheel does not spin but the right rear did. should i bleed the brakes? please help! any advice is appreciated.
if you changed the caliper u should fully bleed the system in proper sequence.
to adjust the rear parking break take off the wheels and on the rotor ull notice a black plug. take that plug out and have it at the bottom dead center. shine a flashlight in there and u'll see a tiny little gear that looks like a 1 cm tall sprocket. use a flat head and.
i forgot which way does which but u'll find out quick enough.
to make sure it's not too lose park on hill crank e brake and if car moves, u should tighten it up a bit again.
