my 1/4 was about 2/10s slower with vsa engaged (14.8 vs. 15 flat)

I was a little suprised that there wasn't more of a difference between vsa on and off, though...

I owned a 96 maxima for 3 years, and have test driven a 2000 max (almost oversteered it off an overpass with the dealer in it, but that's another story). They're not faster. They are fast, and a good driver could beat a moron in a CL-S, but if you take a few runs, the CL-S will win on average. Of course, this is stock to stock, and assuming the CL-S isn't one of the "slow ones".

PS - isn't VSA just TCS with some more bells and whistles?

What a moron (this flame was deserved)! Come on, go get in your car and mash the gas with the VSA left ON, the do it again with the VSA OFF.

Don't post statements on here unless you're sure they are correct. If you're unsure of the correctness, post questions instead. Duh!

I hate this whole game each time some story comes out. Claims, BS, driver issues, car issues, mods, track conditions, etc. Just fucking enjoy your car.

I really need to scan this in, but I have a time slip and pictures of the run of me in my CLS, and my bro in his 2000 auto maxima se. I ran 15.1, he ran 15.8. We both have CAI. So ... I'm not saying anything about 5sp ... but it hard to get "magazine racer" numbers in a manual ... how do I know ... because everytime I go to the track, I race S2000's that struggle to hit high 15's, and type R's that struggle to hit high 15's. With our auto, I can hit 15.1 every run. anyways, just my $.02
