Real Brushed Aluminum Shiftgate

Hey all, This is the first new thread I have made on this site. To put it simply, this site Kicks Ass! Anyways, I co-own a machine shop in Thousand Oaks, CA and was wondering how many people would be interested in a real brushed aluminum shiftgate to replace the plastic one that has the cheesy fake metallic finish. I tooked mine off and I will program it in Solid Works (CAD program) this weekend and build a prototype in one of my Brother CNC's. The price is yet to be determined because of the variables on how much programming time will go into it, the ever-rising cost of aluminum, and doing the brush finish. I will post pics in about a week, but for now just wanted to know what kind of demand is out there. I personally think it will look sweet. Like something out of a Ferrari or Lambo. Let me know what you guys think.

sounds like a great idea, and welcome to the site

I do think you need to contact the mods before you can sell anything in quantity on here though...

but assuming this works out ... can you estimate a price? $20? $200?

I'm thinking price would be about $100 (this is ballpark). I can probably design one for the 6mt but I would actually need the outer shiftgate panel so I can program it to fit perfectly. I will run the prototype of the auto first and pending how that comes out, I'll try the manual. Then I'll venture to the AC vents and maybe some other interior accents. I would really like to know how many people are interested. The more people there are it would be more cost effective for everyone. So if people can reply with interest I'll definetly pursue this full on. Lets get the feedback rolling!
