Just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this, its like a knocking/rattling noise that occurs primarily when I hit a bump or something, Im not really sure but I dont think its ever happened when my moonroof is opened. When it occurs it seems to be the passenger side, roof/moonroof area. Hopefully someone out theres had this issue, did a search and couldnt find anything, thanks in advance

Unless the assembly is loose it's usally just a seal problem.
Atleast for the 2nd gens.
Mine has been like that ever since I've had the car I just never looked into it.
When I drive slow over uneven surfaces like grass so the car kinda rocks you can hear it.
If it's your seal their is a fix thread some where here.

This is what I did. Although it sounds like a rattle, try this. Open the sunroof and lubricate the black rubber seal all the way around using silicone lubricant. Use the "tilt" feature to do the back, and then the "slide back" feature do do the front. Do the sides as best you can. That should do it.

i found that on my car its the rear right corner. whatever that black plastic is on each corner is hittin the glass. annoys the hell out of me but my music is usually loud enough to where i dont hear it :\

That's what mine is. Unfortunately for me, when I crank the music is when it does it for me, due to my sub.

i figure some electrical tape or some foam in between the glass and plastic would fix the problem but ive been too lazy to get around to it..

Thats the dealer's way of fixing it in the TSB.

It's actually a silicon tape. Shit is expensive at $50 for a roll but if you go into the service department and ask nice, they'll give you a couple feet for free if you explain that you wanna do it. I posted the TSB with instructions a while back.

just go to acura there is a TSB on it.

they'll give you this thick one sided sticky teflon tape that eliminates the seal issue.

before if it was dirty then it wouldn't make a noise but if u cleaned it it squeak like crazy... sooo go to acura and they will give u the teflon tape for free skippy
