My car ('03 CL-P Auto) has developed a rattle that I've pinpointed to the shifter gate of my auto trans. I am certain this is where it's coming from because if I push down on the black plastic that lies underneath the silver shifter gate, the rattling goes away or is greatly reduced.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to stop the rattling?

Take the shift gate apart, and go from their......could be something that the previous owner lost in there!
