With Rain-X, why you need wipers!!!

I appiled Rain-X for the first time just before I installed my new $25 teflon wippers...

However, once I saw the drops of water racing back on my widshields, I asked my wife to treat all windows/mirros with this amazing stuff.

This morning on the HW, in moderate rain, I did not even have to use the wipers at all... other cars surely do. Great results from just $2 investment.

Yeah, but you have to re-apply very often to experience the same results continuously.

Doesn't work below 25MPH. Anything above that it works best without wipers.

There is also a new product from either STP or Armorall that goes on MUCH easier but I have had no luck in finding it.

I did that, it worked fine I was realy impressed with it.... but until it started wearing out (about a month or two) the windshield started glareing and the wipers started making a mess out of the window.

And then I cleand windshield and re-applied it, it works find agian, just dont let it dry or wear out.

I have to agree with the speed issue. City driving...you need to use wipers. HW you are good with Rain-X.

How often you need to re-apply, after each bi-weekly wash? Once per month?

I used rainX on my previous cars and found that it left residue behind if u stop using it and it was a pain to get it off.

One tip I can give is apply rainX on your windshield wipers And the windshield. it should work much better.

I just re-apply rain-x every time I wash my car. It's not that hard to put on! Come on!!!

Now - my wife's expedition is another story. Damn skyrise of a vehicle.

I apply Rain X to my car everytime I wash it. After that I use the Rain X wiper fluid that has applies the same coating to it. Works perfectly.

Use the pink Rain-X in the wintertime to prolong the useage. Usually it will last about 6 weeks.
