Rack and pinion bolt stripped

I went in to get an alignment today and they found that one of the 4 bolts holding the rack and pinion is missing and the inside where the threads should be are missing. I have no idea how this happened, but was wondering what the solution would be to the problem? I am suspecting the dealership did this when I had my tranny replaced awhile back. Would this actually affect the ability to have a proper alignment? Thanks.

Solution is to rethread the hole and use a larger bolt.
