Racing Ticket?

Well I am lookin for some word of advice.. Raced a friends GS_R Mods Vs My CL_S Stock. whooped him of course, well anyways after we were done, his tank was going on E so in a one lane road with a passing zone, passes me but in the process i see a cop light from a mile away behind me. well he pulls me over and asks me "WERE u guys Racing,"? of course i say NO SIR, and he tells me to wait on the side and goes after my friend, well he gets skird and floors his gas, he was about half mile away from the cop, still a bad choice to out run a cop, cop catchs up pulls him over then gets him out of the car and immediately cuffs him and put him in teh back of the cop car saying, racing on high way. From What I saw he had no evidence that we were racing. and when he said he saw two break light facing eachother, a bs because that was when GSR was passing me to get in front of me because he was almost empty. So we get locked up for a day, worst experience.. Well anyways I really think this cop has no case against us since he was not there when we were actually racing, nor had a speed detected. All he heard was the GSR's lound noise... what do u all think. Court date is on friday and we already got a lawyer...

yea, but he has no evidence if we were racing because he was not at the scene when we were. he just heard the noise and came over and asked us if we were racing. so he has no proof that we were racing at all. Oh it happen in texas.

Good luck,
It doesn't sound like your in California because they don't locked up for racing, evading the police maybe but in your story you said only your friend ran not you. The courts mostly believe the police unless you have evidence to prove otherwise and it doesn't sound like you do so again Good luck

Retaining an attorney was a good response to these circumstances. When this is all said and done, remember to keep it on the track.

my buddy just got a ticket yesterday for "drag racing" in his chevelle. he was just toying around with another friend with a firebird formula and the cop pulled both of them over and only ticketed him. it was only a $100 fine or somthing because he hadnt clocked their speed.

i say just find laws regarding racing and just know your shit when you go to court. loopholes are always nice as well.
