Racetrack in the Midwest

Does anyone know of a racetrack or dragstrip or any place where I can test out top end on my vehicle (145mph+)?

I don't want to risk a ticket so any place in MO, KS, IL, IA, NE, or MN might work. I guess I could try out the KS Turnpike but I once got zapped by instant-on radar from a Trooper on the other side, even though there is a 4 foot high concrete divider allowing no turnarounds. They are still looking....

I wish I could drive on the track at the Kansas Speedway, I would pay.

I think you can go to KCIR on certain nights to test out your car. I'm not sure if they still do this but I think they have certain drag events that are open to anyone. The track isn't too far from the Kansas Speedway off of I-435.

You should have gone up to Pocono, Pa when you were out here for the MEET.
They have days when you can pay to take your car out on the track.

I went with my buddy a few years back in his 69 Camaro and he damn near scared the SHIT out of me taking the corners at 100+.

I’m not sure if they still do this.

no drag strip will let you go 145 mph in your CL, you'd have to get like a running start
