It might...it might not. We'll just have to see. BTW - They'll redesign the GS before they put a V8 under the hood of the IS.

Plus if the do put the V8 in the IS...it will only be offered with an auto trans...and I won't buy an IS with an auto

 

Well its too bad that guy was banned. Why was he banned anyway? He wasn't using profanities or anything... he seemed nice enough.

Anyway, was anyone able to get a hold of him? I wouldn't mind racing a CL-S at St. Thomas or Grand Bend or Cayuga this summer. I ran a 14.9 with a 93mph trap speed bone stock with my 1995 Maxima. I know CL-S 6-spds might be a bit faster, but I wouldn't mind running this guy...

Jer's 2000 Maxima is no slouch... sure its heavier and the slowest of the Maximas bone stock, but with 268whp I think it balances out just a bit I doubt buddy with the CL-S raced Jer, but it would be nice to settle on the track... not the street where it is dangerous.

TypeSKiller, that's a very nice list of cars you got there. I was obsessed with the GS400/430 for a long time but unfortunately they are only autos (still damn fast). The IS430 is supposed to be as fast as a Supra TT but again auto only. Impressive power for an auto but imagine if it was a 6-spd!!!

Acura seems to be the only 'luxury' car line who has put a manual transmission in their cars... don't know why Lexus and Infiniti never did that. That is one thing I do admire about the CL-S... that it comes in a 6-spd and of course it is a solidly built car.

I'd like to see some of you guys out at the track this summer... got me a y-pipe now!

As for manuals in the Luxo brands....What about the Lexus SC300 5-speed, Lexus IS300 5-speed, Infiniti I30T 5-speed, Infiniti G20 5-speed and the new G35 Coupe 6-Speed????

BTW- Lexus even had a VERY RARE ES300 5-speed back in the day.

 

Okay I guess I was a little ignorant here... I didn't know that the I30 came in a 5-spd... my mistake on the IS300... I knew that came in a 5-spd... both decent with the 5-spd... bad with the auto (in terms of performance)

G20... I'm only talking about quick 5-spds SC300 was a nice car with a nice engine but not quick either in stock form.

Wonder what the GS430 would have been like if it came in a 5 or 6 spd! haha

acuataly putting your cars in your sig is a form of bragging, it lets others know what you have. we all do it.
